Hidden Treasures: Finding the best romantasy reads at your local Target

Field Trip

Last weekend I went on another book field trip, this time to my local Target, where I was impressed by the selection of romantasy titles. Despite the small size of Target’s book section, it felt thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of recent romantasy releases.

Target has clearly mastered the art of attracting buyers, and they have a keen understanding of book trends on social media. They know exactly what readers are looking for and they make it easy to find, strategically placing books throughout the store. This stands in stark contrast to my recent visit to Barnes & Noble, where the book placement and marketing felt disorganized.

Whether you’re casually browsing or seeking out new releases, Target has you covered. They have romantasy titles in the side displays, in the Young Adult section, and of course, in the Romance and Fantasy sections. The #BookTok displays are dominated by romantasy books, highlighting the genre’s growing popularity. It’s clear that Target knows what readers want and makes discovering books a breeze.

What made the experience even better were the sales — many books were 20% off — and the additional 10% discount for Target Card holders, which can be applied to books. Not only do they offer great deals on new releases and popular titles, but with the Target Circle program, you can enjoy even more savings on each book.

Romantasy can be found throughout Target’s book section, making its presence impossible to miss.

Target is a fantastic place to pick up the latest romantasy titles without spending a fortune, making it easier than ever to grow your collection while enjoying great discounts. During my visit, the area was packed with women of all ages, a few men, and some teens, clearly showing that romantasy appeals to all kinds of people.

As you head out with your bags of books, why not treat yourself to a coffee so you have something to sip on while diving into your new romantasy? I recommend the Frappuccino.

Happy Reading!
